Every custom piece begins with a conversation, not a flash sheet. Joseph listens to the story behind the tattoo, looks at how the design will sit on your body, and draws artwork that fits your anatomy and the way you move. You see the design before any needle touches skin, and revisions are part of the process. Sessions are private and appointment-only, so the studio is yours for the day — no walk-in traffic, no rushing, and no design you will see on someone else.

Fine-line and single-needle tattoos live or die on consistency — line weight, spacing and depth have to stay even from the first stroke to the last. With more than 20 years behind the machine, Joseph builds these pieces at a pace that protects the skin and keeps the linework crisp as it heals. We talk honestly about placement and size, because very small, very fine work behaves differently on a forearm than it does on a rib or a finger, and we would rather adjust the design than watch it blur in five years.

A good cover-up starts with an honest assessment. We look at the density, colour and age of the existing tattoo, then design around it using shape, flow and black and grey shading to pull attention where we want it. Some pieces can be fully covered in one sitting, others are better staged across sessions, and occasionally a light laser fade first gives a far better final result — you will be told which category you are in before you book. The goal is never to hide something; it is to give you a piece you are glad to show.

Ornamental and sacred geometry work is measured, marked and stencilled with the body in motion, not flat on a table. Repeating patterns, dot work and mandala structures are set out so the symmetry holds on a curved surface, whether that is a forearm sleeve, a sternum piece or a full back panel. Large-scale pieces are planned as a whole first and then tattooed across sessions, so every stage fits the finished design instead of being improvised as it grows.
